In Memoriam

The NHCA mourns the passing of Peter DuPuy, a long-time tournament chess player and an original and active member of the Knights Chess Club in Keene. On behalf of New Hampshire's chess-playing community, the NHCA extends its sincerest condolences to Peter's family and friends.



Welcome!

The New Hampshire Chess Association (NHCA) is a non-profit organization whose primary goal is to promote chess in the state of New Hampshire. The NHCA runs five major tournaments a year, these include:
  1. Queen City Open
  2. New Hampshire Open
  3. New Hampshire Amateur Championships
  4. New Hampshire Individual Scholastic Championships
  5. New Hampshire Team Scholastic Championships

Troy Fall Octos

A 3-Round USCF rated chess tournament in 8-player sections by rating.

September 25th, 2010 at the Gay-Kimball Library in Troy, NH

Time Control: Game/85 + 5 second delay or increments or Game/90

Registration: 9:45 AM Rounds: 10:15 and ASAP thereafter.

PRIZES: $125.00 FOR WINNER IN EACH OCTO!!

Entry Fee: $15.00 for KCC members cash or check by 9/22. $5 more for non-KCC members, $5 more after 9/24. ONLINE REGISTRATION at www.knightschessclub.org (look on the 'activities' page), $16 for KCC members until 7PM 9/24, $5 more for non-KCC members. Knight's Chess Club membership $20/year.
